School is out and summer vacation has officially begun. Bring on the sunshine, sunglasses, sandals, BBQs, bonfires, beaches and trips to the pool! So much fun to be had and so little time to fit it all in. I am always amazed at how fast the 8 weeks goes before school is back in session, so this year we are making a list of everything we want to do.

If you saw my Monochrome Playroom post, you would have seen the gallery wall I created in the room my kids frequent most. One of the prints shown on the gallery wall is one that I had made for my readers to download for free.
If you a saw my last post featuring my daughter’s “Tutti Fruitti” toddler bedroom, you may have seen the pastel prints placed above her play kitchen. The orange, lemon and pear artwork are the perfect addition to the space.
As I have mentioned before, we are lucky to live in one of the most beautiful cities in the world, but it doesn’t comes without sacrifice. The real estate prices are extremely high, and space is at a premium. We currently live in a 1,300 square foot home, and our previous space was just over 800 square feet. While I love our cozy little house, but I always say that when we move onto a different home, a bigger kitchen and white fireplace is at the top of my wish list.
My friends and I recently got our daughters together for a little Easter party. Inspired by the bright neon Peeps candy you can find at this time of year, the theme was bright and cheerful. More details for this fun-filled morning are coming soon, but in the meantime, I thought I would share the cute and easy canvas craft we did with the 3 and 4 year olds.
If you have been reading along, you know I enjoy doing a good art project with my kids. Since a young age, I loved creating and am happy they also like taking out the art supplies to make their own masterpieces. They also both bring home an abundance of artwork from school and daycare, so needless to say, we have a lot of pictures to go around and needed somewhere to display them. Low and behold, our kids art gallery wall came about, and the best part: it was less than $10 to create.
Since entering the first grade, my son has become a huge Pokemon fan. After learning about it from his classmates, he quickly became obsessed with all of the characters and collecting the individual cards. Like Lego, sometimes I feel like the cards are everywhere in our house. Don’t worry, in my usual fashion, I have now convinced him to categorize them in a binder by type. Luckily, he is my mini-me and loved this idea!
If you know me, you know that there isn’t much I love more than the holidays. I don’t discriminate–I love them all! I love that starting with Halloween in October through to Easter in the spring, there are back-to-back celebrations to take in. Since having kids, my love of holidays has only grown. With each passing one, we fully get into the spirit by creating special art projects and baked themed goodies. With Valentine’s Day around the corner, we are in full heart-mode at our house.
I don’t know about yours, but my kids love making use of the bingo daubers that you can find at the dollar store. With an array of colors, they love stamping them on paper to create images or patterns. With Valentine’s Day around the corner, I thought we could use the daubers to create colorful heart shapes.
