You know I love a good holiday. Once the Christmas stuff gets taken down at the end of December, everything turns to pink and red in preparation for Valentine’s Day. I am so thankful a colorful holiday comes around to brighten our space in the dead of winter.
I thought I would share five crafts you can do with your kids using only materials from the dollar store. You can see my kids have proudly displayed their pieces on our Gallery Wall in our living room.BINGO DAUBER HEART
This simple yet beautiful heart craft using bingo daubers you can get at the dollar store was shared last year on the blog. Not only is it great for toddlers but older kids as well. Click here to be directed to the instructions.
ZIPTIE HEART JEWELRY

The supplies needed are:
- Red, Pink and White zip ties
- Scissors
STEP 2: FOLD THE ZIP TIES AND INTERLOCK
Take one zip tie and connect the two ends together making sure you hear the “rip” sound. Take a second zip tie and connect the two ends together, but ensure you do so with the connection including the first zip tie.
STEP 3: CUT OFF EXCESS PIECES
Continue the last step until you have the length you want for your jewelry. Probably about 12-16 ties for a bracelet and double that for a necklace. Connect the two ends using one more zip tie. Cut off all the loose ends of the ties to finish it off.
