If you saw the post for my daughter’s bunny birthday party, you probably saw the beautiful floral number that I created for the backdrop. Since it was a simple and inexpensive piece to create, I’m sharing the steps to make your own floral number or letter.
STEP 1: COLLECT THE SUPPLIES
The supplies needed are the following:
- Pencil
- Hot glue gun
- Scissors
- Poster board
- Variety of Fake Flowers
STEP 2: SKETCH AND CUT OUT THE OUTLINE
Take the poster board and trace out the number or letter you would like to create. Note, you can really do any size, though mine took up most of the board. Cut out the outline.
STEP 3: ADD FLORALS
After getting a bunch of floral pieces from the dollar store in a variety of types and similar color tones, I removed them from the stems. Once that was done, I randomly placed them on the poster board with a glue gun. They had to be placed pretty close together to get the desired full effect.
STEP 4: DISPLAY
To display the number, I simply added duct tape on the back and placed it on the backdrop, which was simply craft paper I got at the dollar store. Alternatively, you can look at ways to put it up long term in a nursery, playroom, or girl’s room.
