As I have mentioned before, every year we send out a family Christmas card to friends and relatives. It is the one time each year we ensure that we get a nice picture together (or at least try to get one).
Because I love photography so much, we usually put this task in the hands of a professional and set up a shoot with a local photographer in October or November. That way, the photo can be used on a card in December and enjoyed for years to come.
This year we did a shoot at a local park late on a sunny October afternoon. In the summer, my brother-in-law did an engagement shoot in the location, and I loved the results. The golden light that streamed through the trees was simply gorgeous. So we booked the same photographer and location to take advantage.
I was more than thrilled with the results, so I thought I would share, in case you needed inspiration for your future family shoots.
Making use of one of the photos, our Christmas card was complete and ready to send out. Happy Holidays from our family to yours!
