If you know me, you know that there isn’t much I love more than the holidays. I don’t discriminate–I love them all! I love that starting with Halloween in October through to Easter in the spring, there are back-to-back celebrations to take in. Since having kids, my love of holidays has only grown. With each passing one, we fully get into the spirit by creating special art projects and baked themed goodies. With Valentine’s Day around the corner, we are in full heart-mode at our house.
I don’t know about yours, but my kids love making use of the bingo daubers that you can find at the dollar store. With an array of colors, they love stamping them on paper to create images or patterns. With Valentine’s Day around the corner, I thought we could use the daubers to create colorful heart shapes.
When I hosted my friend’s “Oh-So-Sweet Baby Shower”, I wanted to create a backdrop for her to take pictures in front of with her guests and her adorable belly. I didn’t want something too dramatic or expensive–I was looking for something that would stand out in the white studio. For my daughter’s birthday I created a floral number; so, making use of similar supplies, I decided to create another variation on the floral wall.
If you saw my previous post, you would have seen how I turned a plain-looking den into a lovely little nursery. Since the heart wall hanging I created to spruce up the space was pretty easy to make, I thought I would share my step-by-step instructions in case you’re inspired to update your nursery, kids room, or playroom with a similar piece!
