One thing I feel like I have mastered through my motherhood journey is self care. Whether it is just for an hour workout or overnight for a girl’s weekend, taking time away from the kids to catch my breath and focus on my own needs is so important. I feel like my whole family benefits when I come back refreshed and recharged. My self care routine sometimes includes taking the time to get pampered through massages, facials and pedicures. 
Last year, I was introduced to local skincare company Skoah when I was gifted one of their facials. After a 45 minute custom treatment, I was hooked! What they term a “skin care workout”, the facial included the typical steps I had experienced at other spas, but it was beyond blissful. I appreciated the extremely delicate application and the simple aromas of the products they used. Each soap and lotion applied felt light and smelled incredibly fresh. It was relaxing and I left feeling informed on a what a healthy skincare routine looks like. This was fitting, as I only recently started to pay attention to what I put onto my skin. As I am comfortably into my thirties now, I am so much more aware of the importance of keeping my face hydrated and healthy to keep those wrinkles away!
I have visited Skoah a handful of times since my first experience, and each time, I add to my collection of their natural skin care products.
