Getting Summer Ready with Fit Camp Foods

After a long Winter and an abundance of Spring showers, it is hard to believe Summer is finally on the horizon. We are talking 62 days people! That means that bathing suit season is also around the corner and my current mom bod is so not ready. To top it off, I am hoping to squeeze back into my wedding dress to celebrate my 10th Anniversary come August. Talk about lofty goals after birthing two kids and not working out regularly since they were born.

At a recent event, I was introduced to Fit Camp Foods and I knew they were the answer to coming out of hibernation and getting even close to wanting to wear shorts in public come July. Their fresh meals are not only healthy, but extremely flavorful. They pride themselves on creating options with real, nutrient dense ingredients in their purest form.

From salads and bowls to full entrees, Fit Camp Food has you covered, no matter what your palette. I have tried almost every item on the menu, and I have yet to be disappointed. It is hard to name a favorite, but I would have to say the Chilli Chicken Coleslaw Bowl is towards the top. This sweet and spicy option with a delicious crunch is perfect for lunch or dinner. Other yummy bowls include a Burrito Bowl and a Yellow Thai Curry Bowl.Fit Camp Foods | Healthy Eating | Vancouver EatsThe Thai Noodle Salad also ranks high on my list. You can’t go wrong with organic millet & brown rice noodles, fresh veggies and peanuts topped with Spicy Thai Chilli dressing. But really, each salad I have tried has been balanced and crisp. I also appreciate knowing that each is topped with dressing that isn’t full of fat or calories.Fit Camp Foods | Healthy Eating | Vancouver Eats

I have their Summer Salmon or Caulirice Chicken meals at least once a week and I also highly enjoyed the Turkey Meatballs. Again, I can’t express how flavorful each option is.Fit Camp Foods | Healthy Eating | Vancouver Eats

Fit Camp Foods | Healthy Eating | Vancouver EatsFor the past couple of months, I have been placing orders online and having them delivered to my house. Does it get much easier for a full-time working mom? They offer free delivery on all orders over $50, so I place them twice a week and get a handful of fresh lunches and dinners for the week. While I try to serve wholesome meals to my family, my kids and husband are simple (some would say picky) eaters and enjoy pizza or pasta regularly. This gives me the option to have something more inline with my own taste buds and fitness goals. And it cuts back on meal prep, as on the weekends I could spend hours in the kitchen prepping my meals, yet I choose to use that time outdoors with the family.

If you are in the same boat, or just want to give Fit Camp Foods a try, you can get 30% off your first online order! Use the code “FIRST TIMER”. Also, each subsequent order you can get 10% off using the code “THISSWEETHAPPYLIFE”.

Remember, we are talking two months until bathing suit season. I am off the gym. I will be posting about that journey too, so stay tuned.
